Pacemaker patients need to be followed to evaluate the efficiency and the life of their pacemaker. Pacemaker phone checks are made to patients from our office on a monthly or bimonthly basis. The physician then evaluates the rhythm strips to evaluate if the pacemaker is working as it should be. Pacemaker reprogrammings are also an important way of interrogating a pacemaker and extending the life of the battery and optimizing pacemaker function.
